What You'll Learn

We will go step by step through the process of creating a digital character illustration in Photoshop.

Students will create a digital painting of a character face from scratch. You'll learn all the basic skills you need to create a final piece that is ready to share or use in your next project.

In this class you'll need Adobe Photoshop, you can download a free trial at Adobe.com Also needed:  A Wacom tablet (or equivalent)  A basic understanding of Photoshop functionality (creating and saving image files, basic use of brush tool and layers)  Solid foundation in drawing and/or painting will help. We will be painting forms to appear three dimensional so an understanding of how light falls on three dimensional objects is needed.  Basic knowledge of human facial anatomy and proportions (although we'll be stylizing these somewhat)
